EVENING SHADE – Frank Hoffman, 77, of Evening Shade died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at a Batesville hospital.

Born Oct. 15, 1925, at Williford, he was the son of Elijah and Bessie Lashley Hoffman. He was a carpenter and a member of Piney Fork Church of Christ in Evening Shade.

Survivors include his wife, Starece Hoffman; a brother, Oscar Hoffman of Ashdown, Ariz.; six sisters, Martha Calhoun of Papa, Mich., Alice Muller of Klamath Falls, Ore., Florence Bearden and Lucille Hunt, both of Ash Flat, Margaret McCracklin of Buckeye, Ariz., and Louise Hill of Piedmont, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sons, five daughters and two brothers.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Piney Fork Church of Christ at Evening Shade with Gerald Bolin officiating. Burial will be in Turkey Pen Cemetery near Hardy with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
