Evening Times; Cumberland, Maryland, Monday, May 14, 1968 - pg 8, col 3: "Mrs. Elizabeth E. Flynn, 77, formerly of 431 Green Street, died yesterday in Oakrest Nursing Home, Oakland. She had been in failing health for two years. Born February 28, 1891 in Hoffman, Md., she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Mary E. (Brode) Adams. She was the widow of Daniel Flynn who died in 1945. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Margaret A. Mecham, Baltimore; Mrs. Virgil D. McKenzie, Ridgeley and Mrs. Paul W. McKenzie, Bowling Green; three sons, Daniel J. Flynn, Johnstown and Michael F. Flynn and George F. Flynn both of here and 20 grandchildren. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The body is in the George Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Patrick's cemetery. The rosary will be recited today at 8 p.m. at the funeral home." (Courtesy of Pat Dailey)
