Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Fri 28 Sep 1945: "Daniel Joseph Fiynn, 49, of 318 Avirett avenue, husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Ellen (Adams) Flynn, died early this morning in Allegany Hospital, where he had been a patient since Tuesday. The son of the late Michael and Johanna (Bahen) Flynn, Mr. Flynn was employed as chef at Cumberland Aerie No. 245, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. Besides his widow he is survived by three daughters, Misses Mildred, Mary and Margaret Flynn, and three sons, Daniel J., Jr., Michael and George Flynn, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Roy L. Burrell, South Haven Mich., and Miss Mildred A. Flynn city. The body will remain at the George Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be Monday morning in St. Patrick's Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Time of services will be announced later. The body may be viewed after 8 o'clock this evening."
