Cruze, Gladys Fox - age 90 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday Jan. 3, 2012 at Hillcrest Healthcare North. She was a member of Alice Bell Baptist Church and served as the longtime Musical Librarian and Education Coordinator. She was preceded in death by parents: James Wesley and Lucy Kirby Fox; brothers: William Fox, Robert Fox, J.W. Fox Jr.; sisters: Cecilia Atchley and Frances Adams; granddaughter: Beth Cruze. She is surved by husband of almost 70 years: Charles Cruze Jr.; sons and daughters-in-law: Charles Cruze III and Peggy, Thomas Cruze and Kim; grandchildren: Nathan Cruze, Amy and Brad Burroughs, Alyson and Reese Pistole, Laura Cruze, Nicholas Cruze, Shawn and Ivana Cruze, Melissa and Chris Dearman; great grandchildren: Sara, Catherine, Evan, Madeline, Seth and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Alice Bell Baptist Church with funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Toby Everett officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery 10:45 a.m. Saturday for interment at 11:00 a.m. The family request memorials be made to Alice Bell Baptist Church.
