Charles A. Cruze, Jr., age 98, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was a member of Alice Bell Baptist Church. Charles was a proud U.S. Army WWII veteran, he retired from Sanitary Laundry with over 40 years of service and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Fox Cruze; parents, Charles A. Cruze, Sr. and Delcie Burnett Cruze; sister, Sybil Cruze; granddaughter, Elizabeth Cruze. He is survived by his sons, Charles A. Cruze III and wife Peggy, Thomas G. Cruze and wife Kim; grandchildren, Amy Burroughs, Nathan Cruze, Alyson Pistole, Shawn Cruze, Melissa Dearman, Nicholas Cruze, and Laura Cruze; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Donald Cruze.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service, with Rev. Richard Spencer officiating, and Full Military Honors conducted by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at their convenience Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
