John is in every Wilkes County, NC census from 1810 to 1870. He married Hannah Barnes in 1805. In 1870 John was 75 years old and Hannah was 74. There is no proof that John & Hannah Marley are buried in this cemetery, but since his son Benjamin was buried here it is the best guess John was also. If anyone can prove otherwise his cemetery location can be changed.
