PARKER--in Sherman, Jan. -- 1887, Ellen Faith infant daughter of Orren and Avis Parker.
--After a brief illness of intense and patient suffering the little angel took its flight to Him who trusted it to our love and care, for but a few short months.
The services were conducted by Rev. Silvernail, assisted by Rev. Ira Emerton, on Tuesday.
Only a little pair of shoes,
Yet dear to the mother's heart,
Only a little golden curl,
From which she ne'er will part,
Only a little crib and chair,
Silent and empty now,
Only a little cup and spoon,
Yet over them in tears we bow.
Only some blocks and broken toys
Carefully laid away,
Only a mother's aching heart,
Lonely for many a day,
Only a little new made grave
Beneath the willow shade
Only a little marble slab,
To mark where our darling is laid.
