MRS. BERTHA BENEDICT
Mrs. Bertha Gale Benedict, 69, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. V.M. Harris, 1402 Westmount Blvd. Mrs. Benedict was born in Bennett County, Iowa. She came to the Wimborne, Alberta, district in 1903 from Jericho, Mo. She lived there for 18 years before coming to Calgary, where she lived for two years. Mrs. Bennett then went to New Westminster, where she lived for 22 years. She returned to Calgary a year and a half ago and lived with her daughter since. Besides Mrs. Harris she is survived by four other daughters, Mrs. G.E. Postill, Trochu; Olive and Jessie, New Westminster; Verda, Calgary; a son, Earl E., New Westminster; five sisters, Mrs. Dora Benshoff, Wayne, Neb.; Mrs. Ida Briggs, Red Oaks, Iowa; Mrs. Sadie Montgomery, Alhambra, Calif.; Mrs. Albert Range Friend, Neb; two brothers, Dighton Bennett, Bell, Calif.; Earl Bennett, Red Oaks, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
