Clova Weigand, 90 of Sebring, FL, formerly of Fairborn, OH, passed away October 24, 2006 in the Kenilworth Care Center, Sebring, FL. Clova was born January 4, 1916 in Paintsville, KY, the daughter of the late Rosa and Austin Salyers. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Con Franklin and Robert Weigand, daughter, Flora Brewer, granddaughter Connie Franklin, and special son-in-law, James A. Shaver. Survivors Include her daughters Brenda (John) Whittemore of Fairborn and Mildred Shaver of Xenia. Sons, James (Edna) Franklin and David Franklin, both of Sebring, FL, Robert (Lucille) Salyers of Venice, FL, 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held October 27, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E Main St., Fairborn, with services being conducted at 11 a.m. October 28, 2006 from the Berean Baptist Temple, 2989 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, with the Rev. Lonnie Bocook officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery. The family request contributions be made in Clova's memory to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimers Association.
