Mrs. Akin, in company with her husband, was recently at Augusta on a visit to her son, Eugene L. Akin, Esq., and her many friends were rejoiced to see her familiar face again.
She was in feeble health, and her friends, when they bade her farewell, were afraid they should see her no more. She was a faithful wife, devoted mother and conscientious Christian lady. Society has lost a kind friend and a very valuable member. The sympathies of the whole community are with the relations of the deceased. —Augusta Republican.
