infant daughter, no grave marker. Cemetery records state that she was a child of Marian and Andrew Akin also buried in this cemetery. It is possible that this is May Akin who is listed in Andrew Akin's memoir as the small child of his son Carlos and Kate (Farnsworth) Akin. . Andrew says that Carlos Akin was buried next to his second child ( a daughter May), so there is a possible confusion here of names and various records. Marian Akin, Andrew's wife, was 56 at the time of the birth of this child, so her daughter-in-law Kate Akin was more likely the child's mother at least as far as age is concerned. Child was named for her likely Grandmother Marian Akin.
