Anna Kathryn Blythe Mullis Mrs. Mullis, 83, of Huntersville, was reunited with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Huntersville Oaks. She was born on October 11, 1925 in Charlotte to the late James and Mary Blythe. She was a devoted member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, serving on the altar guild and singing in the choir. She was a caring person, always looking after the interest of others. Kathryn retired from Mecklenburg County Social Services and was a graduate of Long Creek School. The family would like to thank the staff of the Huntersville Oaks, Dr. Gambino and Dr. Grant, for their loving care. She left behind her loving family which includes her son, Kenneth Coleman Mullis of Huntersville; Linda Thomas and husband James of Huntersville, Tammy Owens and husband Greg of Huntersville and Candace Smith and husband Ric of Lincolnton; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James (JC) and all of her siblings. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Mark Episcopal with Rev. Sarah Hollar officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathryn's name may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 8600 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078.
