Maranda CAIN was born at Kales, Montgomery County, Ohio, on August 27, 1836, departed this life November 11, 1918, being eighty-two years, two months and fifteen days old. On December 30, 1852, she was married to Robert E. DAILY and to this union was born ten children of whom four died in infancy, and all others lived to manhood and womanhood. They are Thirsa J. HAMILTON, deceased; Winfield S., Park; Elizabeth H. TRIBBY, Jasonville; Amanda COMBS, Richland Township; William S., Richland Township; Jennie L. HAMILTON, Worthington. She was the grandmother of twenty-one children and the great grandmother of twenty-seven children.

She was a member of the M. E. church from the time she was fourteen years of age. She was a good wife, a loving mother and an everyday Christian.

The funeral was held at the family residence at Worthington, November 13, conducted by Rev. BREEDEN, after which the remains were taken to Tulip and interred.
