She attended St. Anne's Parish School and Lamar High School in Houston, and graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio, TX in 1947. She married Francis X. Pendarvis - who she met working at Humble Oil Co. - in Houston on Aug. 26, 1950.
