"Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Savannah Sunday afternoon for John K. Munden, who had spent sixty-four of the seventy-six years of his life as a successful farmer and a good neighbor, who loved the families of his brothers and sisters and his fellow men. He has gone to the reward of the faithful and is at rest. Rev. M. M. Thorne officiated at the services.

John K. Munden, son of Thomas Wilson and Margaret Fletcher Munden, was born near Indianapolis, Ind., August 29, 1868. He passed on at the Missouri Methodist hospital in St Joseph on February 14, 1945, at 11 p.m. at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 16 days. He came to Missouri with his parents, who settled on the farm two miles south of Savannah in March 1881, where he farmed until his death.
