George V. Lindsey, 35, of 23 Adams Street, Oak Hill, Franklin, died instantly when a 1961 sedan crashed into a concrete wall on 427 near the junction of 322 at Wyattville at 1:40 am today. Son of Floyd L. Sr. and Carrie Beer Lindsey, he was born in Franklin Aug. 14, 1925.
His wife and three children had been visiting relatives in Florida and were on their way home. His father lived with him, and his mother lived on Otter Street. He worked for Duffee Motor Express, Reno. He was a veteran of World War II and had six years of service in the U. S. Navy and Army.
He married Dorothy Ruggles, who survives, with three children, George Virgil Jr., 15, Michael Eugene, 14, and Judy Lee, 10; a brother, Floyd L. Lindsey Jr. of Oak Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas J. (Esther) Sutley, Franklin, and Mrs. Isaac (Lucy) Brink of Osprey, FL.
