Corinne "Keen" Curry

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Bible Church in Centerville for Corinne "Keen" Curry, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM.

She will be laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville. Rev. Curtis Pace and Rev. Clyde Crappell will officiate the services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Guillotte, Jason Kidder, Ray David, Brandon Gauthier, Aubrey "Booga" Curry, and Bud Snellgrove.

Honorary pallbearers will be Murphy Curry, Alden Curry, E. J. Curry, Bill Adams, Deacom Larson, and Francis Colletta.

Keen was born on Bayou Chene in St. Martin Parish on September 19, 1921.

A longtime resident of Franklin, she worked from her home as a beautician for 46 years.

Everyone who knew and loved her called her Keen.
She was a devout Christian, loving mother, sister, and aunt, who was a longtime member and supporter of Calvary Bible Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, bible school teacher, board member, treasurer, Deaconess, and in any other capacity she felt that she could serve the Lord and Calvary Bible Church.

She passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the age of 92.

Survivors include one daughter, Myra Carline Guillotte; one son-in-law, Paul Gauthier; five grandchildren, Terri Gauthier David and her husband Ray of Dallas, TX, Eddie Guillotte of Franklin, Jill Gauthier Jones of Dallas, TX, Brandon Gauthier and his wife Angela of Orlando, FL, and Kimberly Guillotte Kidder and her husband Jason of Lafayette; five great grandchildren, Haley and Savannah David, Camille Jones, and Evan and Ashton Kidder; three brothers, E. J. Curry and his wife Letty, Murphy Curry, and Alden Curry, all of Franklin; two sisters, Frieda Larson and her husband Eldridge "Deacom" of New Iberia and Vivian Adams and her husband Bill of Lafayette; three sisters-in-law, Helen Curry of New Iberia, and Virgie Curry and Evelyn Curry, both of Franklin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Curry and Julia Allen Curry; one daughter, Trudy Carline Gauthier; three sisters, Goldie Snellgrove, Florence Allen, and Alvenia Carline; and five brothers, Evans Curry, Floyd Curry, Amos Curry, Clarence "Jack" Curry, and Aubrey "Blackie" Curry.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Roland Degeyter, the staff of Franklin Health Care Center, Heart of Hospice - South Louisiana, as well as a very special friend, Keen's sitter, Mrs. Ann Boudreaux, for the wonderful and loving care they gave to Keen during her illness.
