Garden City -- Joseph P. Dreiling, 60, Garden City, died Tuesday morning at St. Catherine's Hospital here after a six month illness. Born Oct. 22, 1907, at St. Peter, he married Anna Burgardt May 31, 1935 at Garden City.

He had moved to Finney County in 1927 and lived on a farm with his parents north of Holcomb. He and his wife moved to Garden City in 1943. He was manager for the National Alfalfa Company and was manager of the mill at Deerfield. Member: St. Mary's Catholic Church, Garden City; Knights of Columbus.

Survivors: The widow; sons, Joe A., and John, both of Garden City: daughters, Barbara Jean, of the home: Sister Mary Barbara, Haysville: Mrs. Rosie Brown, Augusta; Sister Mary Rene, Wichita; brothers, Al. Godfrey, and Charles, all of Garden City; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Knoll. Garden City; Mrs. Rosie Smith, Lakin; two grandchildren.

Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church: Fr. Weigel. Burial: Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. Rosary: 8 p.m. Thursday at the Garnand Funeral Chapel, Garden City. Friends may call Wednesday evening and all day Thursday at the funeral home.
