According to her IL death record - Elizabeth was the daughter of Jacob Von Allmen, born Mar 15, 1840 in Switz. She was the wife of James P. Walden and died at age 80, Oct 15, 1820, buried Oct 17 in Noble Cemetery.
Her family emigrated to the US in 1850. She does not appear on the ship passenger list with the family (probably an oversight), but she is with them in 1860 & 1870.
In 1870 she is living with her mother, with a little 2-year-old girl named Lillie.
In 1880 she and Lillie are living together in Richland Co, IL
Mar 24, 1881, she married widower James P. Walden. She was 41 years old with a 13-year-old daughter. Nine months later she and James had a son, John Andrew Walden. (Perhaps she was close to her brother, John. He was 2 years younger than her. She named her son, John, and he named a daughter Lillie.)
James died before 1900. Elizabeth was living with her 18-year-old son, John A. Walden. This census says she had 2 living children.
In 1910 Elizabeth was living with son John and his wife.
She died in 1920.
