He was preceeded in death by his parents; 1st wife Josephine Alban Micklo, brothers Michael Micklo, Andrew Micklo, Joseph Micklo, sister Mary Micklo Lango; and his son Michael Micklo (son from 2nd wife Shirley).
Surviving are his wife Shirley, a daughter Stephanie Micklo Stepan, son Stephen Micklo, and daughter Joyce Micklo Hensley; and two brothers George Micklo, Charles Micklo.
Stephen was the only survivor from his pattalion in WWII, then Stephen finally met up with his brother George, and they stood by each other's side until they came home. Was Commander of Catholic War Vets for about 20 years.
