Mrs. Edith Harkinson, 66, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Deeter, of Sugarcreek, at 8:30 am Monday following an illness of a year. She was the daughter of Welsch and Rachel Gillespie Grove, born in Victory April 4, 1864.
She lived in Franklin for 10 years, leaving a year ago to make her home with her daughter.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Harkinson; children, George Harkinson of New York city, Edward Harkinson of Sugarcreek; Mrs. Ernest Kerr of Dempseytown, and Mrs. Harold Deeter of Sugarcreek; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, James Grove of Oklahoma, Ralph Grove of Forest County, Mrs. John Shaw of Kellettville, Mrs. Mary Ort of Titusville, Mrs. R. C. Harkinson of Gallion, OH, and Mrs. Vernon Berlin of Seattle, WA.
Services will be in the M. E. Church at Sugarcreek at 2 pm Wednesday with Rev. Kenneth Moore officiating. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.
