Rex Alderson, 82, of Blanchard, died Feb 22, 1985 at Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah.
He was born Nov 18, 1902 at Viola, Ar, the son of Johnnie and Susie Wade Alderson. He came to Page County in 1922 and worked on a farm for Loy Harris until 1932. On Feb 27, 1932, he was married to Mabel Anderson and they farmed near Coin until 1955 when they bought a home at rural Blanchard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel, on Feb 5, 1981, his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by two sisters, Iva Grogan of West Plains, Mo, and Alice Roper of Salem, Ar; two brothers, Nick Alderson of Cyreal, Ok, and Lehman Alderson of Joplin, Mo, and other relatives.
He was a member of the Northboro Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Feb 25 at Hackett Funeral Home in Shenandoah with Rev Judith Piper officiating. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery. CLARINDA HERALD JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, Feb 28, 1985
