Nancy Adaline Rockwell was the daughter of Alvah and Emaline Kellogg Rockwell.

Nancy married John Brice Faris on December 20, 1888 in Wayne Coutny, Iowa.

Nancy Faris Obituary:
Nancy Adaline Faris was born July 24, 1865, south of Seymour and passed away at her home in Seymour Saturday Nov. 28, 1964, at the age of 99 years, four months and four days. She was the daughter of Alva and Emmaline Kellogg Rockwell. She was the last of ten brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Faris was the widow of the late John Brice Faris who preceded her in death in March, 1926. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Orville and Grada, and three grandsons.

Left to mourn her passing are five children, Sylvester and Everett, Mrs. Keith Haines and Mrs. John Squire, all of Seymour, and Mrs. Amanda Swan of Centerville; five grandchildren, Mrs. Irva Cain of Bettendorf, Mrs. Willa Wade and Mrs. Dorothy Brown of Seymour, Howard Faris of Centerville, and Richard Faris of Newton. There are 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters, along with many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Faris was a member of Antioch Christian church.

Funeral was Monday, Nov. 30, at the Liggett Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry P. Lees Jr. officiating. Burial was in Tharp Cemetery. Mrs. James Anderson Jr. and Mrs. Harlie Merritt provided the music.

Pallbearers were Farris Wade, Richard Cain, Ted Hickerson, Quin Hickerson, Howard Faris and David Faris.
