Siebert T. Helgason was born in Iceland and came to America in July 1873. He lived on Washington Island, Door County, Wisconsin. He was the son of Teiter T. Helgason and Holmfrida Bernhardsdotter. In 1889, Siebert was captain of the schooner Agnes. Siebert married Catherine A. Fagan. Their son Gerald Francis Helgason was born on Oct. 2, 1891. Catherine died October 23, 1915 in Milwaukee. Siebert later married Bertha. He was a street inspector for the city of Milwaukee for 15 years. He died of heart failure.

Word was received by Gustine Baxter Saturday of the sudden death of his brother-in-law Sievert Helgeson of Milwaukee. Mr. Helgeson was a Woodman Deputy here last summer and has been here on different occasions visiting.
