Betty Larson, age 72, of Bagley, MN, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Bagley, MN with Reverend Rick Moore officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be at the Bagley City Cemetery. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.

Betty was born March 28, 1939 in Fosston, MN, the daughter of Peter and Katherine Abeldgaard. She was raised in the Fosston and McIntosh area. Betty attended school and graduated with honors from McIntosh High School in June of 1957.

She married Willie Larson on September 14, 1957 in Fosston, MN. After their marriage, they resided in Bagley. Betty worked for the Clearwater Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide. In 1963, Betty and Willie moved to Anchorage, Alaska moving back to Bagley in 1966. In 1966, she began employment with the Clearwater County Social Services retiring in 1996.

She was a former 4-H leader and acted in several plays though Community Theater. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, gardening, and cooking.

She is survived by her husband – Willie Larson of Bagley, MN 2 Daughters- Mindy (Tyson) Cronberg of Grand Marais, MN June (Larry) Rinkenberger of Palmsville, CA 1 Son- Matthew (Tyanne) Larson of Gonvick, MN 11 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren 2 Sisters: Margaret Pearson of McIntosh, MN Edna (Ole) Arneberg of Fosston, MN 4 Brothers: Harold (Betty) Abledgaard of Lengby, MN Clarence (Jerry) Abeldgaard of Homer, Alaska Peter (Marilyn) Abeldgaard of Phoenix, AZ Lloyd (Della) Abledgaard of Lengby, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daughter- Marnie Thoreson, sisters: Lettie Kiesner and Doris Christianson and an infant brother.
