Elwood H. Rinehart

SPRING GROVE – Elwood H. "Barney" Rinehart, 69, of 73 E. York Ave., who received a Purple Heart while in the U.S. Army in World War II, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 1984, at Memorial Hospital, York. He was the husband of Elsie M. (Spears) Rinehart.
The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Burial will be in Zion (Shaffer's) Union Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
He was born in Shrewsbury Township, the son of the late Luther M. and Lettie (Krebs) Rinehart.
He retired as a millworker from the P. H. Glatfelter Co. in 1979. He was a member of American Legion Post 403, of Patomas Lodge 348, of the Quarter Century Club of the Glatfelter company and a life member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 110.
Mr. Rinehart also is survived by three children, Linda L. Barlok, Glen Rock RD 2; Nelson E. Rinehart, York, and Gary R. Rinehart, Red Lion RD 5; a step-daughter, Delores J. Eisenhart, Thomasville RD 1; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; three brothers, Lewis Rinehart, Glenville; Willis Rinehart, Jefferson, and Millard "Jack" Rinehart, Fairfield, Calif.
Officiating will be the Rev. Clarence C. Moore and the Rev. Kenneth S. Ehrhart.
