James A. Oliphant age 72 of Mooresville, Born on September 29, 1941 passed away on November 27, 2013. He was born in Burney, Indiana, the son of Arthur and Frances Stribling Oliphant. James was a 20 year veteran with service both the Army National Guard and US Air force. He retired from the military service in 1990. Following his retirement, he became an over the road truck driver until his retiring from Crete carrier in March 2013. Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the Plainfield, Indiana ward. His fondness for Genology brought him to serve as a family history consultant for the ward. Jim took great pride and joy in his family. He is survived by his wife: Vivian English Oliphant. Sister: Patricia Franklin of Tennessee; Step Children Juanita (Arthur) Snodgrass, Lee Anne Pickerel, David (Christy) Pickerel and Linda (Gordon) McCalister. 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great-grandchildren.
