Odessa Ann Vaughn, 58, of 1145 Lillie Ave., West Columbia, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Bethel Baptist Church, Highway 332, Cope. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Still, Howard Cooler, James Carroll, Greg Carroll, Wesley Bearden and Kevin Bearden.
The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
She was born Oct. 30, 1945, in Jasper County, the daughter of the late Walter Douglas Cooler and the late Naomi Ruth Hodge Cooler. She was the widow of Thomas Franklin Vaughn Sr. and was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Cooler and Brad Cooler, both of Bamberg.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Franklin Vaughn Jr., of West Columbia; two daughters, Teresa Nix, of Bamberg and Crystal Joslin, of Kentucky; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Croft, of Bamberg, Carrie Carroll, of Norway, Nettie Ruth Carrigg, Eula Mae Garrick and Essie Lee Williams, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Buck Cooler, of Bamberg and George Cooler, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.
Friends may call at the residence of Teresa Nix, 460 Elm St., Bamberg, and at the funeral home.
