The Huntsville Times, Huntsville, Alabama Sunday March 22, 1970. A funeral for Squire Hillis, 88, of Rt. 1, New Market, who died Thursday at Big Spring Manor, will be today at 2:30 p.m. at the New Market Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Washio Ishie and the Rev. Robert Muir officiating. Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah Hillis; four sons, Alfred Hillis, E. W. Hillis, Charlie Hillis, and Walter Hillis; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth McCord of New Market, Mrs. Sadie Sharp of Huntsville, Mrs. Mae Ward of Elora, Tenn., and Mrs. Minnie Wiseman of McMinnville, Tenn.; 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
