James was the son of William Arthur & Agnes "Nan" (Walls) Willett. His father was born in Manitoba, and his mother, Agnes, was born in Limekilns, Scotland. They were married in 1914 and only had James & his sister, Alice.

JAMES ENOS WILLETT
The district was saddened by the death of a highly respected Paynton district farmer, James Enos Willett, aged 47, who passed away in Maidstone Hospital, January 9, 1963, following a short illness.
Born and raised in Paynton, educated in Grand Cheviot School, he was indeed a true pioneer of the district and as he grew older he shouldered the responsibility of this progressive community. He was a steward of Knox United Church, a director of the Paynton Telephone Co., and an active member of the Red Cross and the Cancer Society.
On October 28, 1939 at Lloydminster he was married to Phyllis Bernice Woodworth of Landis, Sask. His widow survives him, as well as six children, James W.; John; June, Enos 17, Carolyn 15; and Charlotte, 9; his parents, Mr and Mrs W. Willett, all of Paynton and one sister, Mrs. Loyran(sic) Duffee, Meadow Lake.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 pm, Jan. 9, at Knox United Church, Paynton. Rev. J. M. Wood of Maidstone and Rev. D. F. Pratt, Edmonton, conducted the impressive service, in spite of the very severe weather, was attended by scores of relatives and friends who came to pay fitting remembrance to this beloved citizen.
