OBITUARY: WILLETT
Mrs. Agnes Willett of Maidstone, Sask. formerly of Paynton, Sask. passed away in Maidstone on Tuesday, July 7, 1982 at the age of 89 years.
Agnes Willett was born on April 14, 1893 in Limekilns Danfermline, County of Fife, Scotland. She married William Arthur Willett on Feb 16, 1914.
Agnes was involved in the Ladies Aid, the Red Cross and the Old Homemakers. She also supported the Gideons, and the Foster Parents Plan for Overseas Children. She also was involved with the Unitarian Service Committee.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Alice and her husband Mr. Loryen Duffee of Maidstone, Sask.; her daughter-in-law Phyllis and her husband Mr. Henry Ochs; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1975; and by one son, James in 1963.
Funeral Services for the late Agnes Willett were conducted from the Knox United Church, Paynton, Sask. on Saturday, July 1, 1982 at 2:00pm with Reverend Lorne Heffelfinger officiating.
Hymns sung were The Lord's My Shepherd, Amazing Grace, and How Great Thou Art accompanied by Jean Petty on the organ.
The Active Pallbearers were the messrs.: Enos Willett, John Willett, Gary Bannerman, Russell Duffee, Gerard Perrin and Donald Willett.
Interment following in the Paynton Cemetery."
