Geraldine A. Kelley, 89, formerly of East Waterford, and more recently of Chambersburg, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 19, 2013, at her home.
Born May 6, 1924, in Dublin Township, Fulton County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Margaret (Hampton) Briggs. She was married to Ellsworth "Pete" Kelley, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by: four grandsons, Stephen Briggs, of Mifflintown, John Briggs Jr., of Bath, Maine, Jeffrey Briggs, of Chambersburg, and Michael Briggs, of Des Moines, Iowa; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Locke, of Penn Hall Nursing Home, Chambersburg.
One son, John Briggs Sr., preceded her in death.
She had attended the Cross Keys Church of God, Cross Keys.
During her life she was a homemaker.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, with Pastor Judy Rowles officiating.
Interment will be made privately at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
