Ruth Naomi Orndorff, 69, formerly of Philipsburg and currently a guest at the Curwensville Nursing Home, died at Clearfield Hospital Tuesday, April 7, at 2:40 p.m.
Born March 26, 1918, in West Decatur, Boggs Township, she was a daughter of Walter and Roberta (Bush) Shaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Noble Max Ordorff, in January; one daughter and one brother.
She is survived by children, Mrs. Ronald (Madeline) Snyder of Lackawana, N.Y., Mrs. Philip (Sharon) Turner of Easton, Larry of Philipsburg R.D. and Mrs. Fred (Jacqueline) Ferguson of Morrisdale, nine grandchildren, one great-granchild; and these brothers and sisters, Mrs. Iva Shimmel of West Decatur, Mrs. Herman (Gladys) Vaughn and Merril Shaw both of Ohio, Edward Shaw of Osceola Mills, Mrs. Alpha Beach of Elyria, Ohio, Mrs. Robert (Lena) Wisor of West Decatur and Herman Shaw of Clearfield.
Mrs. Orndorff was a member of the New Life Center.
Friends will be received at the Strange and Weaver Home for Funerals, Morrisdale, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and until the time of services, which will be from the chapel of the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Wayne R. Focht will officiate, and interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
