Funeral services were conducted Friday morning for Miss Iva May Ayers in the Gregory Funeral Home in Pittsboro. The Rev. Philip Frew, pastor of the Pittsboro Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery. She died last Thursday evening, in the Perkins Nursing Home, Danville, at the age of 81. She had been a patient there for the past two years.
She was born in 1884, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Scott Ayers.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
