Abram was the son Abram Durland and Susannah Post, according to The Dorland Family in America by John Dorland Cremer (1898), p. 200 & 203. This appears to be corroborated by his death certificate, which gives the parents' names as Abram A. and Susan Durling [sic].
He married Ester H. Scudder on 19 Dec. 1838. He was a hotel keeper.
In addition to the daughter Susan, linked below, he and his wife had a son Charles Scudder Durling, who was the father of: Florence A. Durling (1861-1862); Emma B. Durling (1865-1868); and Charles A. Durling (b. 1873).
