He died November 14, 1846 in (possibly) Hopewell, Mercer Co., NJ and was buried in the Hopewell Old School Baptist Meeting House Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ with wife Susanna Post Durland. His name on his headstone is spelled "Abram Durland". Buried with them is daughter Susan Ann Durland McPherson. Abraham and Susanna's 7 children used the surname spelling "Durland".
