Anna Martin
Anna Elizabeth Reese Martin, daughter of J. W. and Ellen Reese, was born Jan. 3, 1868, in Clarke County and died Aug. 8, 1947 in Indianola.
Nov. 9, 1886, she was united in marriage to Fred W. Martin who preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1941.
She was a member of the Methodist church, Eastern Star and W. S. C. S. of the Methodist church.
She was a resident of Clarke county until March 1, 1917, when the family moved to Indianola. A son Walter died in infancy.
She is survived by five sons, Ray E., Woodburn; Lloyd E., San Francisco, Calvin B., Mason City, Clarence A., Osceola, Harold K., Guymon, Okla., and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Hanesworth, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Charles McCoy, Indianola; three sisters, Addie B. Reese, Chariton, Mrs. R. B. Waynick, Woodland, Calif., and Mrs. Ida Culbertson, San Francisco; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Overton Funeral Home, Indianola, conducted by the Rev. E. W. Frohardt, pastor of the Indianola Methodist church, with burial at Woodburn.
