Thomas was one of the original settlers of Sudbury, Massachusetts, arriving about 1638. He likely married about 1641 a woman named Bridget (maiden name unknown). By the time his first child was born, Thomas had moved his family to nearby Concord. Thomas and his wife have several children with birth records in Concord, including Boaz, Mary, and Eliezer. There is also excellent evidence that he had a son Thomas, and good evidence that he had a son Jabez. Thomas and his wife appear to have lived in Concord until at least 1681/2, because Bridget has a death record there. Thomas does not have a death record anywhere, and he does not have a headstone. According to "The History of Sudbury, Massachusetts, 1638- 1889," Thomas died in 1688, but I haven't been able to confirm that date in any primary sources. After his wife died, Thomas moved to Cambridge, possibly to live with his daughter Mary Browne Woodhead Gove. It is likely he died there. The best evidence we have of his birth year is a deposition he gave in 1670 in which he gave his age as about 61 years old, which would give him an estimated birth year of about 1609.
