Boaz Brown had three wives. Early sources indicate he had just one, but this is refuted in a 1986 article in NEHGR, Vol 140, p.317ff:
He married, first, on Nov 8,1664 at Concord,MA, Mary Winship. She was born on Jul 2,1641, a daughter of Edward Winship and Jane Wilkinson Winship. Early sources erroneously give her a death date of 1715. But she died much earlier, certainly before Sep 30,1695.
He married, second, on Sep 30,1695 at Dedham,MA, Mary (Fuller) Richards. She was the widow (and second wife) of John Richards, who had died in 1688 aged 47, and by whom she had one son, Samuel, in 1688. Neither her maiden name nor her parents are mentioned in the 1986 NEHGR article. However, in The American Genealogist 24:92-95, she is identified as a daughter of Robert Fuller. She died at Dedham,MA on Sep 12,1715. This is the date originally attributed to Boaz' first wife who was also named Mary.
He married, third, on Sep 10,1716 at Concord,MA, Abigail (Ballard) Wheat. She was the widow of Samuel Wheat of Concord, and a daughter of William Ballard of Andover,MA. Abigail died on Jul 20,1726 at Concord,MA.
Children(by first marriage): Boaz Brown Jr (m. Abiel ____), Thomas Brown (m. Rachel Poulter), Mary Brown, Edward Brown, Mary Brown Stearns, Mercy Brown Everett, and Jane Brown.
