Pioneer Resident Thorntown Dead -- Cuthbert B. McKinsey Expires Last Night.
Thorntown, July 3 -- Cutherbert B. McKinsey, pioneer resident of this vicinity, died at his home in Thorntown at 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening. Mr. McKinsey was 78 years of age and death was due to a complication of diseases, following an illness of three yeas.

Cuthbert McKinsey was a son of Samuel and Jane Hanger McKinsey. He was born in Rockridge county, Virginia and was the oldest of tweleve children, five of whom survive him. Mr. McKinsey came to Boone county with his parents in 1865 and has been a resident of this immedite vicinity since that time. On December 12, 1878 he was united in marriage to Ida J. Thompson who survives with the following children: Mrs. Villa Butcher, Mrs. J. P. Carpenter, Ruth McKinsey, Helen McKinsey and Will McKinsey of Thorntown, and Chase McKinsey of Hammond. Two brothers and three sisters survive, J. S. McKinsey of Thorntown, James A. McKinsey and Ms. Leveana Moore of Mechanisburg, Mrs. Will A. Miller of Whitestown and Mrs. Betty S. Hill of near Thorntown.

Mr. McKinsey was a life long member of the Presbyterian church. The funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
