Alma D. Kelby died Feb. 13, 2002, at the Vashon Community Care Center. She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Kelby was born in Quincy, Wash. on Dec. 1, 1913.
She grew up in central Washington as a married woman and lived in the Seattle area for several years, then returned to the Central Washington area. She married Frank Kelby on May 31, 1932. He died in 1985.
Friends and family say they will remember her as a good mother and a very meticulous person.
Survivors include a daughter Arlene Higley and her husband Larry of Vashon, a daughter-in-law, Darlene Kelby of Portland, Ore.; two grandsons, David and Larry Jr., a great grandson, John Wesley of Seattle; two sisters, Goldie Webley and Sylvia Olson, brothers Lawrence, Ralph, Dick and Cleat Webley.
Services were Monday, Feb.18, at Nicholes Funeral Home in Ephrata.
Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial in Soap Lake, where she will be placed next to her husband Frank and son Wesley.
Arrangements were entrusted to Island Funeral Service.
