Earl Tennyson Black, born March 02, 1884 in Baldwin, Kansas, was the only child of Washington Cyrus Black and Nanny Kate ASHBY Black. He married Myrtle Brockway McCain on Oct 18, 1909 in Utica, Missouri. They had four children.

Announcements were received in Lawrence today of the marriage of Miss Myrtle McCain formerly of this city to Earl Black of Baldwin. The ceremony was performed October 18 at the home of the bride in Utica, Mo. After a honeymoon trip the couple will be at home in Baldwin, Kan., where the groom lives.

Miss McCain was teacher in the Manual Training High School the past year while Mr. Black was a student at the university. Both of the happy bridal party have many friends in Lawrence.
