WILLIAM SWINDLEHURST
William Swindlehurst, 64, passed away Sunday, January 10, at his home near Springport, following a long illness. Death was due to cancer.
William Swindlehurst was born November 10, 1861, at Guelph, Ont., and came to Harrisville in 1887. On July 15, 1886 he was united in marriage with Johanna Hendrie, who with five children survive. The children are Russel Swindlehurst, Mrs. Doc. Van Wagoner, and Mrs. Frank McCourt, of Harrisville, Mrs. Sarah Bartreau of Posen and Mrs. Jas. Johnson of Port Huron. Two brothers, James of Pontiac and Charles of Guelph, also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. M. Boyce. Burial was made in Springport Cemetery.
