She was born Nov. 2, 1893, in Wyatt, the daughter of C. S. and Louisa Webb DeField.
She was a member of the First Christian Church here. She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
She taught public schools in North Dakota, Illinois and Missouri before moving to Sikeston in the late 1940's, where she taught music here for twenty years before retiring and returning to the family home in East Prairie.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Deward (Dorothy) Gilmore; brothers, Eldred, Webb and Emil DeField; and eight nieces and nephews.
Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be today at the Shelby Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
