Jack Nathaniel Washburne, Sr., died at his residence in Delhi Wednesday. He was 40 years of age.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Delhi at 2 p.m. Friday, with Dr. John Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Delhi.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen Washburne; three sons, Jack Washburne, Jr., Billy Fred Washburne and Eugene Washburne, of Delhi; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Washburne, of Delhi; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Jane French, of Monroe; Mrs. Dorothy Harper, of Shreveport; Mrs. Marianne Graham, of Forest, Miss.; and Mrs. Janet Vinyard, of San Bernardino, Calif.

Pallbearers will be Billy Bryan, Carlton Johnson, Neal D. McEacharn, Joel Wilson, Wayne Young and John O'Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be all the members of the Anglers Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Washburne was a member of the Delhi Masonic Lodge, the V.F.W., and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was active in youth baseball for boys.
