William Davison died suddenly at 11 o'clock a.m. Monday at his home in Plum township, between Sunville and Chapmanville, succumbing to an apoplectic stroke. Deceased was born at Sunville in 1834, and had lived in that vicinity all his life, being a farmer. Mr. Davison had been a member of the Sunville Presbyterian church for a period of 50 years. His wife died six years ago. He leaves one son, George Davison, at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Robert McClelland, of Titusville, and Mrs. Frank Weber, of Jackson township, this county. The funeral services will be held at his late home at 2 o'clock p.m. Wednesday. Interment in Sunville cemetery.
According to Howard Strawbridge, Plum Twp. historian, William was found dead outside near the clothesline. He lived just east of Battin's Corners.
