Lucretia Childress Jackson was the fifth daughter and ninth of Francis and Elizabeth Hale Jackson.

Her first marriage was to Dr. J.P. Sharber on 7 March 1860 in Rutherford Co., Tn. His death date is unknown.

Her second marriage was to her first cousin, James Franklin Jackson Jr. on 3 Feb 1863, in Jackson, Alabama. According to the source, "Eagleville," by Bobbie Sue Shelton, p. 193, they had two daughters:
