He was born Nov. 5, 1927, to Dallas and Violet Carson in Vincennes, Ind. He married Mae Jo Grimm on June 30, 1962, in Davenport.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kristy Vandevoort, Davenport; two sons, Ricky Carson, Bettendorf, Iowa, and Scott Carson, Davenport; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Velma Westphal and Lillian Bowling, both of Davenport, Irene Cutler, Mesquite, Texas, and Amy Maharenholz, Lawrenceville; and four brothers, Dallas Carson, Durant, Iowa, Madison Carson, Indiana, Rex Carson, Davenport, and Jimmy Carson, Silvis.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport. Interment was in Davenport Memorial Park.
