Mae "Jo" Carson, 83, of Davenport passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Genesis East. A committal service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 1, 2013 in the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at The Runge Mortuary.
Jo was born April 7, 1930 in Farmington, IA, the daughter of Harley and Ella (Christie) Grimm. On June 30, 1962 she married David A. Carson in Davenport. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1998.
She was employed in the insurance business, retiring in 2009 from Trissel, Graham and Toole. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Davenport.
Survivors include her children and spouses: Kristy and Scott MacDonald, Davenport; Scott and Liz Carson, Bettendorf; Ricky and Marian Carson, Davenport; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Marvin.
