MAYODAN Mr. James " Norfleet " Price , 89, of 2366 Park Road, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Morehead Hospital, Eden.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Clearview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery.
Mr. Price was born in Stokes County. He was a retired farmer, was affiliated with the Sharpe-Smith Warehouse and New Madison Warehouse, and worked with the ASCS Department, Reidsville. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and attended Clearview Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always put his family above everything. Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents, Chase and Eva Mae Gunter Price ; and sister, Sayre Lazar.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ruth Hall Price of the home; sons, Pete Price and wife, Linda of Burlington, Jim Price and wife, Debra of Mayodan; daughter, Mary P. Cole and husband, Page of Roxboro; brothers, C.D. Price and Patrick Price of Madison; sisters, India Satterfield of Madison, Hazel Gann of Mayodan; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Colonial Funeral Home, and all other times at the residence.
